My Experience with the Guitar...

I started playing guitar when I was 19. On August 2011. Its been 7 months since I started playing. There’s a guy that taught me the basics, D A G. The very 1st song I played was Happy Birthday.I dedicated that for my mom. That time I’m still very new to guitar and my fingers is like WOOD.

After that, I wanna learn how to play “Kenangan Terindah”. However I gave up that song halfway because I don’t know how to play. Then I took up another song which is “Tinggal Kenangan”. That’s the very very 1st song I played using fingerstyle. Since then I starts to love fingerstyle very much because it made me feel so lively. 1st of all its because I cant sing pretty well and the guitar sing it for me.
I wanted to continue with this fingerstyle guitar but it is just so tough. No one is there to guide me for that style.

Then I found out another awesome song which is “Blackbird” by The Beetles. I tried playing it but then I cant finish it also. I almost gave up until a guy willing to teach me an easier version. He taught me how to play it and yup I managed to play the song. I did not use tabs or sheet music or anything. All I did was memorizing all the strings he used and the frets he used. After that I slowly play and remember everything.
I felt so proud of myself and I practiced day and night. I played quite a few number of songs which I have to sing. Its okay for me but I’m not sure what others think about it.

The very next fingerstyle guitar song is Spanish Romance. A guy told me about that song and said that its quite hard to master that song. I made a research about that song I find its okay and thus I took the challenge and started playing that song. It took me quite a while to memorise the whole song and play it properly. Once again I’m proud of myself.
Then I continue with my guitar.Practice with songs and more songs. After that learnt how to play scales. Though I don’t know much about it.

On December, there’s a girl name Esther made a youtube video. Immediately I asked her for a collab. We decided to make a cover of Adele’s song, Someone Like You. It took us about 2 months to complete it. The video officially out during Chinese New Year. I could say that it was the proudest video I ever made.
After that I took up a challenge to play a piece by Bach and Beethoven which is Air on the G String and Fur Elise respectively. I uploaded the Bach cover but not the Beethoven’s. Both of the piece is really challenging. I learnt new stuff from them. I learn about Pull Off technique in the Air on the G String piece.

After that, I saw Adele’s song, Someone Like You covered by Sungha Jung. I find it really awesome and I downloaded the tabs for it. I managed to play the verses only and I also learnt about Hammer on technique. Then I keep it aside first as I wanted to move on to other song.

I found out that theres a teacher that is teaching guitar in town so I decided to go and try it out. End up he cant give me exams and he cant teach me more new stuff because I learnt most of the basic already. After that I stopped his class.

I found a really cool website that give out guitar tabs, WWW.LICKBYNECK.COM. I downloaded the app for iPhone. There is lots and lots of songs in it.

There’s few songs that I already started to play and already managed to play some of it. Will be uploading the video into youtube soon.

For my future plan, I will be taking up guitar class or going into music course to get more knowledge about music. Many said its quite late for me to start taking up music now because mostly people started when they were very young. I take it as a challenge and its my passion. I believe if I want it, I can do it and thus I wont give up !.wheee =D GOOD LUCK VENDRICK !

If and only if "things" happen..

I'm afraid that it might be too late for me to do anything.. Nothing is too late unless the person doesnt exist anymore. I realise this when 1 of my friend passed away.

Since i'm now living in a country which is not safe, i might as well do everything i have to do..hmmm...i might get rob and killed anytime...that is the risk for being here...
so yea....
the very 1st thing i did is that to tell you that i love you...i'm not sure you will be reading this or not but if and only if "things" happen...this post will be a letter for you....
Since the day I know you, you made my world so much better. Without you, i wont be here being so OPEN, I wont be dieting coz of the comments you gave me, wont be so keen to know about the meaning of love..

I know i cant do anything to get it back to you. I know you would want me to find some one else.

I've tried. I've tried so hard to forget about you but every single thing i do will remind me of you. I cant cheat on another girl saying "i love you" while my heart and my mind is all about you rite. I will feel guilty for the other girl and i feel like a JERK.
I've always love you. Its gonna be 2 years already but still *sigh*..

I know that you do still have a lil bit of feeling towards me but why? i just wanna know the reason why? at least please tell me a reason why...

Everything i do remind me of you.....every story i said relates to you.... every dream i had i seems to lost you....

take care....

If "things" happen...i hope you will get to read this.... love yea..

Math love poem =D

I’m sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root 3

The three is all that’s good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sighn,
I wish instead I were a nine.

For nine could thwart this evil trick
With just some quick arithmetic.

I know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationality.

When hark ! what is his I see,
Another square root of a three

As quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer.

We break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wands.

Our square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed.

What to tell the future generations?

Many people been wondering what to tell their children about school. They realise the system is in need of change but they also feel their children need to be going to school. Here are the keys messages you should be communicating to your kids.

11)      Education is a life long process.
Going to school is just a part of that process – sometimes one of the smallest parts. There are many valuable skills to lean from school, but never stop pursuing the things you want to learn. Think for yourself, make educational choices that will help you develop your own special gifts.

22)      School is primarily an Employment Process.
It is designed to prepare you to earn money ( but not necessarily to create real wealth ) and to operate acceptably in the area of life we call work.

33)      It is a game of winners and losers.
Play hard and play fair. Always have compassion and humility when you are winning and the courage to get back up when you’ve been knocked down. Be kind to all students regardless of their popularity, their academic rating, or the difficulties they face in their lives. Take time to reach out to kids who are on the fringe. Not only is it a humane habit to have, but it also give you the opportunity to learn about different people. As classmates of Albert Einstein found out the class nerd might just turn out to be the next Nobel Prize winner.

44)      If you start, commit to finish.
Learning to accept challenges. Having the tenacity to do your best and finish what you start are lifelong skills worth cultivating. Quitting when things get tough is not a habit one wants to develop. Discipline, particularly in the face of adversity, is a valuable asset in this world.

55)      Schools are great place to learn how to find information.
As long as you are going to be there, make the most of your time at school. Learn how to locate specific information. Many teachers are good researchers. Use them wisely by asking them questions about where you might go to get information, on virtually any and all questions that might occur to you, and to some that might not. Practice keeping your mind open to subjects you know nothing about. Instead of saying no to opportunities that are offered, try saying yes and watch what happens. It is often those area you think you’re going to hate that turn out to be the most personally fulfilling.
Depth of knowledge us far more important than getting the “right” answers in order to pass a test. And you can achieve this depth only if you know where to go for information. Learning to do this quickly and efficiently is a skill that will serve you for the rest of your life, regardless  of the jobs or professions you choose in the future.

66)      It’s better to look stupid than to be stupid.
If you don’t understand something, ask for clarification. If the teacher wants a volunteer, volunteer. People learn more by participation than by being silent and attempting to look cool. Be willing to look cool. Be willing to make mistakes – they are the primary way we learn. Make many of them. If school is boring, then get entertained by being willing to participate. Be respectful but have fun.

77)      Take advantage of being young.
There are adventures and opportunities that are best accomplished while you are young. Plenty time remains after school to be a serious, career-oriented stick-in-the-mud. Helen Keller once said, “life is a daring adventure or nothing”. Let your curiousity be your guide. Enjoy your youth. This will help you to have a youthful adulthood.

88)      Seek the one “Right” answer – But Don’t stop There !
Figure out what answer the teacher expects, but then find a minimum of two more answers. Having the ability to find multiple answers to problem in life will provide you with options. These options are the key to freedom. After all, there are no right answers in life, there are only multiple choices. A life without choices can quickly turn into a misery.

99)      Believe in yourself.
Don’t take labelling and grading too seriously. It is done for the benefit of the teachers. It does not mean that you are smart or that you are dumb. Everyone learns in different ways and at different rates. Your grades in school don’t determine what you are able to do in the future. Follow your dreams no matter what anyone tells you !

110)   “My love is forever”
Tell your children that no matter how they do in school, they are very special to you. Remember that school is only a game. Assure your kids that school and grades will come and go, but you will always love them.
